Rockers Grace Potter and the Nocturnals brought a tale of two acts to the Taft Theater in Cincinnati.
Playing in front a full house, the band showed off their musical diversity. Potter and band started with their more slow, beautiful and melodic songs and then encored with a five-song barnstorming rock show that had everyone begging for more.
With Potter’s show-stopping good looks, her masterful and energetic stage presence, the bands three guitar rock ‘n’ roll, jamming and blues stylings – there was certainly something for everyone.
The highlight for me was the amazing encore that seemed to go on forever and taking the crowd on a musical journey through the Nocturnals’ hits. Starting with Apologies, easing into Nothing but the Water I & II, driving into Paris (Ooh La La) and ending with a beautiful rendition of Medicine.
